Cherry Tsoi 蔡淑婷 - 陶瓷藝術家

Cherry, Shuk-Ting TSOI received her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from Hong Kong Baptist University (2016). She focuses on ceramics creations and set up her ceramics studio in 2018.

Her works have a strong connection to nature, she always gets inspirations from the natural processes , also forms, colors and structures of sea creatures and plants. By layering repeated forms, she creates works that reflect her fascination with the complexity of biological structures. Her works contain a sense of growth and abundance, she uses the intricate details to celebrate fecundity of nature and renew the connection to nature.

For functional wares, she prefers making them by wheel throwing. Porcelain is the clay she usually uses which helps enhance the color and texture of glazes.

蔡淑婷畢業於香港浸會大學視覺藝術學院(2016)。蔡在學期間學習不同物料的工藝技術，尤其醉心於陶藝創作。畢業後投身陶藝創作事業，2018設立陶藝工作室。

雕塑作品造型以生物結構為基礎，尤其是植物和珊瑚複雜多變的造型和顏色，加上她個人的想像而成型的。作品常以球體作為造形基礎，加上重覆堆疊的組件，製作出具豐富結構的作品。她想透過作品去展示自然的豐盛和生命力。

實用性器物常以拉坯成型，作品造型線條圓潤柔和。喜歡使用不同的泥和上色方法，作品風格多變化。最愛用瓷泥為物料，希望以瓷的白去呈現釉藥最原來的質感，表現岀釉色之美。
